Kasauli

Also known as the Gateway to Himachal, Kasauli is a small hill town located at the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This town came in Solan district and was established in1842 by the British Raj as a colonial hill station. It is a railway junction in northern India.

Sunrise Point

The sunrise point is also known as Hawa Ghar, which is located at the lower mall. This point has sunrise as well as sunset point both. People often come here to start their morning peacefully by viewing the beautiful sunrise. This point provides a relaxing experience for everyone who comes here.

Gilbert Trail

Gilbert trail is the best place to visit in Kasauli; the beauty of this place is incomparable; it is next to heaven. It is a 1.5 km long stone walkway that starts from the lower’s lane and will take you straight to the beauty of nature. It is covered and surrounded by greenery on both sides. The beautiful different variety of birds also makes this place ideal for bird watching.

CRI (Central Research Institute)

The CRI, short for Central Research Institute, was an establishment of the British, set during their Colonial rule in India. This establishment is presently under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, with whom they are in close collaboration.

The CRI, lauded for having been able to successfully develop vaccines for the treatment of illnesses including but not limited to typhoid, snakebite, cholera, and smallpox, has again joined efforts with WHO towards the prevention of diseases such as measles and polio. The beautiful architecture, as well as it’s colonial relationships, are also some of the remarkable attributes of the Institute.

The Mall Road

Kasauli Brewery

It is the oldest operating distillery for Scotch whiskey. Its history predates the town itself. It was established by Edward Dyer in the 1820s, who brought the necessary equipment from England and decided to start a brewery at this location. This brewery is famous for serving single-malt whiskey and freshly brewed Indian pale.
